Anxiety, Depression & Stress

It may be that you are experiencing distressing periods in your life that are causing you to feel depressed, stressed or anxious. Feeling down, upset or sad is normal but when these feelings continue for several days or weeks on end it is maybe time to seek help. Whatever the reason, it can be equally difficult to accept these feelings, to reach out and make the brave move towards seeking help.

Therapy cannot be rushed and that is why it is important to move at your pace but more importantly in a place of safety. This in turn, will give you the opportunity to reflect, acknowledge and understand how past and present events have led and shaped not only who you were, but the person you are today.

Grief is as unique as you are and as individual as your fingerprint. 

Suffering from the overwhelming sense of grief and emptiness following the loss of a loved one can be so difficult to manage when you are feeling alone. The humanistic approach I use has enabled me to witness just how debilitating a person can feel when suffering from bereavement, loss and grief in their lives. The loss a loved one through suicide can create feelings of guilt, hopelessness as well as severe depression and anxiety.  A devastating diagnosis of terminal illness can take time to process not only for self but also for your loved ones. For some just having that safe space to talk things through can be enough to help, but others may need that little bit more time and that’s okay.

My aim is to be your scaffolding, supporting and respecting you throughout your counselling journey at your own pace, so in time you may discover your own unique way to finding your inner peace and begin to see life through different lenses.

First Steps

You may feel nervous about taking this step. During our first session we will get to know one another, develop a clear sense of our expectations in undertaking counselling, share your story and work together to develop achievable goals throughout our shared journey.

In developing a good connection with you, we will work together to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship. Through this trust you will begin to unearth and discover the tools that will enable you to grow as a person.
